Sautéed Noodles with Beef and Vegetables in Asian Style

This is an Asian Dish that I just make when I can't figure out what to eat! Very simple but tasty enough to crave it once in awhile! It's sautéed in a hot pan but less greasy than Chinese Lo Mein! You can also use chicken, pork or even Shrimp instead of Beef.

LEVEL: EASY
PORTION: 2-3 People
TIME: 30 mins

INGREDIENTS:   Tender Beef Steak (1/2 lbs), Onion (1/2), Carrot (1), Zucchini (1/2),
Spinach (handful), Linguine noodles (alittle more than 1/2 lbs),
                              Sesame seeds (1 Table Spoon)

For marinating meat:  Soy Sauce (2 Table Spoons), Sugar (1 Table Spoon), Ginger (1/2
Table Spoon), Garlic ( 1/2 Table Spoon), Oyster Sauce (1 Table Spoon),
                                 White Wine (1 Table Spoon)

Rest of the Seasoning: Soy Sauce (2 Table Spoons), Sugar (1 Table Spoon), Oyster
Sauce (1 1/2 Table Spoon), Korean Pepper Powder "Gochutgaru" (1-2
Table Spoon * Depending on  how spicy you want it)

1. Slice the Tender Beef Steak into little edible-size strips. Chop the Garlic and Ginger and place it in a bowl. Put all the rest of the seasoning in the bowl and mix it till everything dissolves. Place the sliced Steak and mix it all together and leave it for 15 mins.

2. Heat water in a pot and add some salt. When the water is to a full boil, put the Linguine noodles in the pot.
Cook the noodles a little al dente since you will re-cook the noodles with the Sautéed beef and veggies later.
Set the noodles in the colander and set it aside.

3. Chop the Onion, Carrot, Zucchini into thin slices.

4. Drizzle some Olive Oil on the hot pan Medium High Heat. Add the Onion and stir. The important thing about this dish is that you need to be aware of what vegetables cook faster. A min later, add the carrots.

5. Then add the marinated beef in the pan. Stir and mix everything together. Add the Zucchini and Spinach.

 6. Put the Rest of the Seasoning (Soy Sauce, Sugar, Oyster Sauce, Korean Pepper Powder) in the pan and stir. Place the noodles in the pan and keep stirring in the pan and mix it thoroughly.

7. Taste it and if it's bland, then add 1/2 Table Spoon each of Oyster Sauce and Soy Sauce.

8. Place the Sautéed Noodles on a plate and sprinkle some sesame seed on top! And Voilaaaaaa enjoy!

KOREAN FUSION: Bulgogi Wrap with Spicy Mayo

Food is a great way to connect people and bring joy to a mundane life of ours. Even though I lived all around the world and spent little time in my home country, Korea, I watched my mother prepare Korean meals almost everyday and learned how to appreciate Korean culture and how delicate and hard the preparation process is for each dish. So here I am starting my blog with a Korean Dish with a Fushion twist called Bulgogi Wrap with Spicy Mayo.

Bulgogi is a sweet salty marinated Beef dish with vegetables. It is normally paired with rice and lettuce (wrap the Bulgogi inside a lettuce leaf) but I'll be making it into a wrap.

LEVEL: Easy
PORTION: 2 people
WHEN: LUNCH, BRUNCH
TIME: 30mins

INGREDIENTS:    2 palm-size Rib-Eye Beef, 1/2 of an Onion, 1 Small Carrot,  2 Whole Wheat Wraps,
                              Lettuce, and handful of Spinach

For marinating the Meat: Soy Sauce (3 Table Spoons), Sugar (2 Table Spoons),  Garlic (1/2 Table
Spoon), Sesame seed (1 Table Spoon), Onion (1/4), and Ginger (1/2 Table Spoon)

Mayo Sauce: Mayo (4 Table Spoons), Sugar (1 Table Spoon), Lemon Juice/Lemon Vinegar
(1/2 Table Spoon), and Spicy Chili Garlic Sauce (1-2 Table Spoon *Depending on
how spicy you want it)  * see pic below

1. Put the Marinating ingredients in the blender and grind them till they have some texture to the paste. Then slice the Rib-Eye Beef into small strips about 2 inches long and 1/4 inch thick.

2. Chop the Onion and Carrots into strips.

3. Then mix the marinating ingredients and the Beef together thoroughly and make sure all the beef strips have paste on them. Put the chopped vegetables in all together and mix it all up. Marinate the meat and vegetables for about 15 mins - 20 mins.

4. Place each wrap on a dry dish then put a lettuce leaf on top.

4. Use a small bowl to mix the Mayo, Sugar, Lemon Juice/Lemon Vinegar, and Spicy Chili Sauce. Mix it till all the sugar and other sauce dissolve.

5. Spread some of this Spicy Mayo Sauce on top of the lettuce leaf. Then place the spinach on top.

6. Drizzle some Olive Oil on the hot Pan. Pour the marinated meat and vegetables and keep stirring till the beef has no red spots and the vegetables are cooked but not over-cooked that it's soggy.

7. Place enough Bulgogi on top of the spinach. Wrap it up and ready to eat! * Try not to scoop up the juice of the cooked veggies and meat. It will make the wrap soggy!

8. Adding Salty Chips on the side is a great combo!
